Well that would be fine it was just a 5 day skill, but there are skills that will span months. So yes, there is a need to to remove ghost training because it makes those 2 months skills much easier to obtain.

Like I said, "ghost training" was a selling point. It seperated Eve from every other MMORPG. If you think that's silly, that's fine. I won't be around much longer to bug you anyway.
Well what this means if you have to have a paid account to train the skill when you are offline. The skill still trains when you are offline, and that still separates Eve from every other MMORPG. |

DON'T FRIGGIN TELL ME THAT BECAUSE I TRIED TO BYPASS THE STUPID TIMESINK CALLED SKILL TRAINING BY PAYING FOR 3 ACCOUNTS THAT I SHOULD AT LEAST NOT GET ANY BENEFIT FROM IT!
I'm paying 300% over and get screwed hard after okt. 15th? Count me out!
Congratulations... I was paying for three accounts... when my sub ends in november I may not renew it at all... not even one of them!
If you are willing to actually pay for three acounts, then you should be fine. Its the people who are not paying for three accounts and still getting skill that are the problem. |

So I see people presuming this is about money, then saying that they will lose money. If anything, this probably tells me that this might actually be about balancing the game and NOT about money.
How does this balance the game? It makes advanced skills harder to get and it makes the player evaluate if its really worth it (rather than taking the easy way out and 'ghost training'). |

Originally by: Sagan As an old player that has been here since 03 this change in my opinion is a very bad move. Ever since I started Eve I have worked a consistant work schedule of 3 weeks at work and 3 weeks at home. I have no access to Eve while I am away. The offline skill training was the selling point for me to start to play Eve. This is my first mmo and the only mmo that I play. But for people like me we will no longer be able to train a skill while we are away. For any reason, not just work. Hopfully CCp will come to their senses before this come into effect.
Well you could keep your skill training while away, you'll just have to pay for it. Its up to you if that's worth it. Maybe a compromise where you get only 30 days of 'ghost training' would work. |

Customer Relations suggestions
1) Push the date back a month so that people can get used the idea. 2) I'm going to second the idea that you should get limited 'vacation' ghost training time with your subscription. Maybe give us a chance to buy vacation time directly at a reduced price. 3) Give us some sort of skill training queue. |
